Our mission is to discover the targets of
potential candidates and examine their possibility for
diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases
by using proteomics and bioinformatics.

The protein complement of the genome is incredibly complex due to tissue, cell and sub-cellular compartment specific expression of the genome. In addition, the myriad of post-translational modifications that fundamentally regulate biological processes are much more abundant than previously estimated...

Sparganum is the plerocercoid larva of the genus Spirometra erinacei of pseudophyllidean tapeworms. Human sparganosis occurs occasionally by ingestion of freshwater contaminated with cyclops infected with procercoid or invasion of plerocercoid in the reptile host, such as frogs and snakes.

Clonorchis sinensis is the human liver fluke of the class Trematoda (phylum Platyhelminthes: Digenea). The human host is infected with eating of raw, inadequately cooked freshwater fish with metacercariae of C. sinensis. Clonorchiasis is commonly an infectious disease in eastern Asian countries... including Korea, China, Japan, and Vietnam. It is estimated that Clonorchiasis affects approximately 35 million people worldwide
